Biography
C P Wong is the Charles Smithgall Institute Endowed Chair and Regents’ Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology, and Dean of Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Wong received primary and secondary education in Hong Kong and furthered his education in the US. He received his BS degree from Purdue University, and his PhD degree from the Pennsylvania State University. He received many awards, among those, the AT&T Bell Labs Fellow Award in 1992, the IEEE CPMT Society Outstanding Sustained Technical Contributions Award in 1995, the Georgia Tech Sigma Xi Faculty Best Research Paper Award in 1999, Best MS, PhD and undergraduate Thesis Awards in 2002 and 2004, respectively, the University Press (London) Award of Excellence, the IEEE Third Millennium Medal in 2000, the IEEE EAB Education Award in 2001, the IEEE CPMT Society Exceptional Technical Contributions Award in 2002, the Georgia Tech Class of 1934 Distinguished Professor Award in 2004, Outstanding Ph.D. His research interests lie in the fields of polymeric materials, electronic packaging and interconnect, interfacial adhesions, nano-functional material syntheses, Si etching and energy storage. His work includes nano-composites such as well-aligned carbon nanotubes, graphenes, lead-free alloys, flip chip underfill, ultra high k capacitor composites superhydrophobic coatings and supercapacitors. He holds over 65 US patents, numerous international patents, has published over 1000 technical papers, 12 books, is a Member of the National Academy of Engineering of the USA since 2000, and a Foreign Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering 2013.

Biography
Francisco Trinidad is Doctor in Electrochemistry and received MSc and PhD degree at the University of Madrid. He joined Tudor Group in 1977 and served as Research Laboratory Manager in Azuqueca, Spain and Development Director for the Industrial Division in Soest, Germany. After Exide acquisition of several battery groups in Europe (Tudor, Ceac, BIG, Hagen, Deta), he was nominated as Research Director in Paris, France and later Development Director Transportation Europe. In the actual position, he is responsible for basic research, including R&D labs and basic processes in Exide Europe. Author of more than 60 papers and 20 patents, he has made numerous presentations on battery technology and related conferences. After more than 39 years of experience with several electrochemical systems, he is a worldwide recognized battery expert in the industry.

Biography
Janus Juul Rasmussen is the Founder and CEO of the Danish engineering consulting firm Valcon Design A/S. He is a Mechanical Engineer that has worked with product design for more than 15 years as an expert within the field of kinematics and moving mechanics. He has developed the Six Theta(r) Design methodology and has a close co-operation with the Robust Design Academy at the Technical University of Denmark.
