Biography
Dr. Alam received his bachelors in electrical engineering from Aligarh Muslim University, India in 2003, his Masters in electrical and computer engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL. USA in 2005 and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Tech University,TN, USA in 2009. Since 2004, he is involved in the research and development of electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle and Systems Engineering with automotive Industry and currently employed by Ford Motor Company.His research interests include smart grid, micro grids, energy harvesting from alternative energy sources, distributed generation systems, advanced energy storage systems, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, electric and fuel cell vehicles.
